Will This Be the Winter You Get Your Procedure?

The fall and winter months are a busy time for Dr. Antimarino! The time off during the holidays and the bulky sweaters make for the perfect recovery environment. A procedure during the final months of the year ensures that patients are fully recovered in time for spring and summer.

If you’ve been considering a procedure but aren’t sure where to start, here is an example of a timeline that you may follow over the coming weeks and months:

Finding a Surgeon

This choice is probably the most important one you’ll make during your surgical journey. Your surgeon’s education, training, experience, bedside manner, and surgical philosophy all will play an essential role in your outcome. On average, patients will meet with three plastic surgeons before deciding. As you go through these consultations, you’ll learn a lot, and it may be challenging to keep track of everything. We’ve created this Surgeon’s Checklist to help you check off important criteria as you’re meeting surgeons.

Before & Afters

Results from other patients can be helpful when evaluating whether a surgeon will be able to achieve the results you desire. View our before and afters here.

Reviews

As you’re finding a surgeon to perform your procedure, ensure you’re looking for online reviews. Dr. Antimarino & our providers often get reviews about their compassion, professionalism, and care. You can view some here.

Financing

Following a meeting with Dr. Antimarino, patients have the opportunity to meet with our Patient Care Coordinator if they choose to move forward with a procedure. During this meeting, Toni will discuss the next steps, including setting up the patient’s next appointments, scheduling their procedure, discussing their payment options, and more. We offer two financing options to patients, including Alpheon Credit and Care Credit.

Pre-Surgery

We’ve created a pre-surgery checklist with general steps most patients will need to take prior to their surgery date. Depending on your procedure, Dr. Antimarino may require you to stop medication, start new medication, or provide other pre-surgery instructions. Make sure to follow them closely.

Other Resources

No patient is the same, so here are some other resources that may be helpful to you throughout your surgical journey.

Post-Operative and Therapeutic Massage

Following a procedure, some patients may experience bruising and swelling. A lymphatic drainage massage can help reduce these side effects and promote surgical recovery through the lymphatic system. Learn more about this process here.
