Spring is Here! Our Top Three Procedures for Spring:
- Breast Augmentations remain the most popular procedure each spring as we begin to see the weather change and people start to head outside to enjoy the sunshine. Typically, a Breast Augmentation is used to create or restore fullness and balance to a woman’s breasts. During the consultation, Dr. Antimarino will go over the different types of implants and choose the style of implant that best meets the patient’s goals. The patient will also have an opportunity to try on different implant sizes which will give them an idea of their new look. This procedure is done in an accredited, outpatient surgical center. Patients are required to wear a sports bra for the first 3-5 weeks after surgery and then transition to any type of bra that they like. Most patients are back to work within the week and back to exercising within 3 weeks.
- A Breast Lift procedure can be combined with an augmentation or done by itself. This procedure is used to restore the breast tissue to its natural anatomical position. There are different types of lifts available to correct the degree of hang to the breast. Dr. Antimarino will evaluate the patient’s breast tissue during their consultation and discuss the procedure needed to achieve that goal. He will also go over the location of the incisions required to achieve the best results. This procedure is done in an accredited, outpatient surgical center. Patients will wear a sports bra for support for the first 3-4 weeks after surgery and then transition to a bra of their choice. Patients are typically back to work within the week and back to exercising in 3 weeks.
- Liposuction is a procedure that addresses unwanted or resistant fatty deposits on the body. This can be done in almost any area, from head to toe. Chin/neck, abdomen, hips, arms, and thighs are the top requested areas of concern. Typically, tiny incisions are used to access all areas, therefore downtime is a matter of days. There is generally mild swelling and bruising to the area that lasts approximately 1-2 weeks. A post-operative garment is worn for 3-4 weeks to provide support and help minimize swelling and bruising. Multiple areas can be done at the same time depending upon the desired results. Liposuction is an outpatient procedure and is done at an accredited surgical center. Patients are typically back to work within a matter of days and back to exercising within 2 weeks.
