Paramedical Scar Camouflage
Scar Camouflage, also known as Paramedical Tattooing, is a good way to conceal and blend skin grafts, burns, surgical scars, self-harm scars, and other skin trauma. Skin re-pigmentation is a positive solution to conceal imperfections by mimicking skin and restoring confidence. Each skin imperfection and scar is as unique as the living canvas in which it resides. Each application is customized for each person to recreate the natural and unique features of the individual. Skin pigmentation, also known as camouflage tattooing, can camouflage imperfections for any skin tone.
Aftercare Instructions
Do not pick or disturb the camouflage/pigmented area. It is important that if there are any protective scabs that they stay on during the healing process. Use a thin layer of the provided ointment 2 – 3x per day for the first five days. Always apply ointment before bathing or showering.
Avoid soap, shampoo, cleansers, cosmetics on the pigmentation site for the first five days, saunas, steam rooms, baths, hot yoga, anything that causes excessive sweating for at least five days, swimming in chlorinated pools for two weeks, and direct sun or sun tanning beds for six weeks.
Pigment and Healing
25% – 40% of the pigment will fade off during the first 5 – 10 days of healing. The area may appear to be healed, but it will not fully heal for 4 to 5 weeks. Do not throw out your aftercare as you will need it for a touch-up. If you have a Tegaderm bandage on the area, you can safely leave this bandage on for up to a week. No water activities wearing Tegaderm bandages.
Although rare, excessive swelling or allergic reactions may occur. If excessive swelling occurs, you should consult your doctor. Once healed, use SPF products on the treated area(s), it will prevent color from fading. Be careful when having peels, microdermabrasion, laser, or using anti-aging creams on camouflage, as these may contribute to fading.
Scalp Micropigmentation
For Men
Are you affected by scalp scarring, pattern baldness, or perhaps by thinning or patchy hair? Regardless of your hair loss problem, scalp micropigmentation has proven to be an immediate, reliable, and highly effective solution.
When delivered by a top specialist, SMP thickens the existing hair, restores receded hairlines, perfectly simulates the look of close-cropped hair, and hides hair transplant scars. Estetiq incorporates only the latest state-of-the-art equipment, along with medical grade pigment of the highest standard.
For Women
Women with pattern baldness and alopecia can now create the illusion of thicker, denser hair. Approximately 25% of our clients are women suffering from some sort of hair loss, either thinning of the hair or alopecia. There are many reasons why women may experience hair loss stemming from genetic predispositions, alopecia, stress, and even menopause. Up to approximately 70% of women’s hair is shed in large amounts.
It is often precipitated by a response to a traumatic event, either physical or emotional. A typical procedure requires two to three sessions to acquire the desired results. Each session is performed within one week of each other.
For Scalp Scarring
A very common secondary use for the procedure is the concealment or camouflage of hair transplant scars. Ranging from FUT or FUE hair transplant scars to alopecia or accident scarring, Estetiq provides a scars-camouflaging service making them nearly impossible to detect.
Their scalp micropigmentation technique has been applied to many male patients with great success. Most of their clients use the SMP to create density and/or repair a receding hairline. However, over 30% utilize the procedure to conceal scars. The two most popular scars originate from hair transplant surgery – FUT (spin) scar and FUE (follicular unit extraction).
3D Nipple / Areola Color Enhancement
When it comes to Breast Reconstruction, nipple and areola enhancement are typically the final step. This treatment is a form of micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing. Estetiq has one of the only tattoo artists in the region who specializes in 3D nipple tattoos.
Areola repigmentation and 3D nipple tattooing are a specialty area of medical tattooing, it is an art form. Tattooing can help improve the appearance of both women and men who have undergone breast surgery. 3D nipple techniques “create” a natural-looking breast after reconstruction surgery. Areola color to enhance and correct light-colored or misshapen areola. With areola color tattooing, we can create more balance and symmetry— we use camouflage tattoos to help to hide scars from Augmentation or Reduction surgeries.
