“My philosophy is that plastic surgeons are still medical doctors, and we should always remember that taking care of the patient is our number one priority. We need to approach patients with compassion and the highest level of integrity. I believe that as a plastic surgeon I have a responsibility to represent myself in a professional manner while delivering medical care with the highest integrity and respect to my patients.”
Dr. Antimarino went to medical school in Omaha, Nebraska at Creighton. He did his internship and general surgery residency at the University of Southern California and followed that with a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery.
General surgery included trauma, abdominal, cardiothoracic, pediatric, and transplant surgery. USC, at that time, had a very large bariatric/weight loss program which became one of the early centers of excellence in that field. Dr. Antimarino received extensive training in post weight loss surgical procedures as well as body contouring. The plastic and reconstructive aspect of the surgery program focused on cranial facial surgery, congenital anomalies, trauma, facial and hand surgery, microsurgery, and fat transfers as well as breast and facial reconstruction, skin cancer, burns, and cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Antimarino stayed on post-graduation as an associate clinical professor on the burn unit and in plastic surgery. He had a special connection to his burn patients and felt drawn to scar research and management as well as wound healing.
Dr. Antimarino was also recruited to join the most prestigious private practice in Southern California after graduation where he refined his aesthetic techniques addressing facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, and body contouring.
Moving to Pennsylvania gave Dr. Antimarino and his wife, Ella, the opportunity to follow their dream and open a practice that provided the type of patient care that represented their core values and beliefs. Bellissimo Plastic Surgery & Medi Spa is a labor of love that is invested in community service, compassionate patient care, and the opportunity to educate patients so they can receive the best medical care available to them.
When Dr. Antimarino is not in the office or in surgery you can find him doing what he loves best, spending time with his family. He is passionate about his son’s hockey and loves to watch his daughter play volleyball. He loves to talk with all three of his kids about their future dreams and goals and with one in college, he realizes time is not standing still!
Dr. Antimarino believes patient care and excellent surgical skills are what sets him apart in his aesthetic practice. His office reflects his compassion with staff that is both knowledgeable and courteous, warm and respectful.
