Meet Kristie
If you have had a surgical consultation with us, then you have met Kristie, our patient care coordinator. Kristie will be your best friend throughout the surgical process. She is available to answer all of your questions about the procedure, pre-and post-operative care, pricing, surgical dates, and times.
She will be your primary contact to help you in any way she can to make sure you have a positive experience. Kristie works closely with Dr. Antimarino to make sure everything goes smoothly for you, both in the office and at the surgery center.
I asked Kristie to play a round of questions and answers with me so you could get to know a little bit more about her.
How have you changed in the past year?
I would say I appreciate family more and spending time together. With Covid and having to quarantine, I was unable to see my dad who I am very close to. We had two babies born into the family last year that I was unable to see and my Nonni passed away which were all difficult to deal with when we could not be together.
Do others perceive you differently than you are?
I would say that I am quiet, so sometimes, when I am just quietly observing people, they assume that I am not friendly when I actually care a lot about people and hear about their life story.
What do you think about getting older?
I think it is good and bad. Each year, you learn and grow so much and sometimes wish you had that knowledge earlier in life. I think you must appreciate taking care of yourself physically and mentally as you age to be healthy and active.
What is your favorite place to hide out?
I would say the gym is a good place to hideout.
Would you rather live for a week in the past or the future?
I would have to say I look forward to the future, I would not want to go backward.
What is your favorite lunch?
I would have to say a shrimp salad or sushi. (Side note: We laughed over the fact that we both love a good chocolate fudge cake and how that would be a great lunch but thought that was probably not a good answer!)
Which hobby would you like to spend more time doing?
I would volunteer with horses more so I would have to say riding. I volunteer at a wonderful organization in Wexford called “Orchard View Stables” that works with kids and horses.
Do you have any superstitions?
Well, not really, except when I look at the clock, and it is 11:11, I must make as many wishes as I can before the numbers change and I must touch something blue.
We appreciate Kristie and all her hard work. Next time you are in the office, make sure you stop and say hello to her!
