Ever since Cara Delevingne came out rocking her bushy brows, the desire for defined, trendy brows increased. However, many women find it hard to accomplish the look they desire after years of over-plucking and waxing their brows. An eyebrow pencil can only do so much! Fortunately, we have the answer.
What is microblading?
Microblading, or micro-feathering, is a semi-permanent tattoo that fills in and shapes your brows, making them appear lush and beautiful. This procedure defines the brow line, fills in spots that just won’t grow, and creates arches. It is a far more natural looking alternative for brow definition as it allows the artist to define each and every hair in the brow.
One of the elements that makes microblading great, is that it is a semi-permanent tattoo technique. Typically the drawn-on strokes last up to 24 months (fading can be noticeable at 18 months). We either recommend a touch-up at this point to recreate your brows or you can choose a new brow shape to stay up-to-trend. With permanent makeup, you don’t have the choice to alter your brow shape as trends change or your skin ages.
Who should get microblading?
Ideally, the perfect candidate for a microblading procedure is someone looking to have defined, realistic brows without having to bother with eyebrow pencils or makeup.
