Brow Lift
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, can be used to provide a more youthful appearance to the face and minimize the signs of aging.
Forehead wrinkles, creases to the face, or the loss of elasticity can all be addressed by elevating the brow and forehead area. This procedure can also address sagging and uneven brows that give off a false impression of tiredness or emotions like anger or sadness
There are various techniques used with a brow lift. The endoscopic technique is the most commonly used and the one Dr. Antimarino prefers. In short, small incisions are made at the temples which are hidden inside the hairline. One benefit of this procedure is it can be combined with other procedures like eyelid surgery or face lifts.
A consultation will help you better understand what is involved, and for now you can review the information below.
Surgery Details
Brow lifts are outpatient procedures. This procedure is done under general anesthesia and may take 1-and-a-half to 2 hours.
Before Surgery
Be sure to review any information and prepare to answer questions about your medical history with certain conditions, medications, and other operations you’ve had. Certain changes, like smoking cessation and pausing medication, may be necessary before moving forward with the procedure. A consultation before surgery will help you become more aware of what you need to know before moving forward.
After Surgery
Depending on the incisions received your surgeon will advise you on the best way to let them heal; such incisions can be expected to fade away over some time, or otherwise be easily concealed by makeup. Most patients can return to work between 1-2 weeks and may resume exercise after 3 weeks.
